Basic Obedience Class

Course Overview

Our Basic Obedience Course is designed to be flexible and tailored to suit the individual needs and experience levels of each attendee. Core skills covered in the program include:

  • Recall

  • Loose-lead walking

  • Heeling

  • Sit

  • Stand

  • Drop

  • Stay

  • Watch (focus)

  • Go to your mat/place

In addition to practical skills, there will be time allocated to discuss any behavioural concerns you may be experiencing at home. Participants are strongly encouraged to complete short homework tasks between sessions, which greatly support progress and long-term results.

Additional Activities

To keep the learning experience engaging for both dog and handler, we incorporate a variety of fun tricks throughout the course. Trick training not only enhances focus but also helps boost your dog’s confidence.

Time permitting, the class will also include a brief introduction to the sport of Rally Obedience and selected elements of Agility.
